Training is available from Faero's members, and also from the pre-registered applicants. Faero's scheme launched on the 2nd April, and links to the member's training information will be provided here shortly. Until then, contact the members directly - their details are available on this link:
Assessment is by examination, and will include both a theory test and a practical. The main focus of the practical test is the accurate completion of SAP and Carbon Dioxide Emission Rate calculations. The test also includes a simulated task typical of the work of a Competent Person - using software to investigate how to improve the energy performance of a home's design and reporting your findings to the client. Further details of Faero's examination are available from the Faero scheme members. The training provided by members is tailored to the Faero examination syllabus and includes a copy of the syllabus and practice in answering specimen theory questions.
